Booking Terms

 By booking your holiday with The Square holiday cottage, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:
 
1.   The deposit payable is 1/3 of the total hire charge. This is non-refundable and the balance must be paid at least 6 weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday. We may treat the booking as cancelled if the balance of the hire charge is not sent by this date. If the booking is made within 6 weeks of the start of the holiday, payment in full is required at the time of booking.

2.   The keys for the cottage are available after 2pm on the day of your arrival, unless you have made other arrangements with us. The cottage is to be vacated by 10am on the day of departure to give us time to prepare for the next guests.

3.   Once the booking has been confirmed, you are liable to pay for the booking in full and if you cancel, we will make every effort to re-let the cottage. If we are able to re-let we will refund your payment, less the deposit to cover administration costs. For these reasons we strongly recommend that you take out cancellation insurance for your holiday.

4.   The number of people and pets occupying the cottage shall not exceed that stated on booking.

5.   You shall notify the Owner of any breakages or damage beyond fair wear and agree to replace or pay for such damage or loss. We will assess a charge if the cottage is left in an unacceptable state.

6.   There is absolutely No Smoking anywhere in the cottage.

7.   Wireless internet is provided free of charge for your convenience for emailing and internet searches.  A computer and technical support is not provided. Downloading of large files and streaming of internet content such as movies is not permitted.

8.   Pets are not normally accepted unless agreed upon with the Owner in advance. Dogs must be kept under control at all times and must not be left alone in the cottage. Dogs are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture.

9.   You may park outside the cottage to unload, then must move your car to a street parking space or public car park, for which we provide a parking permit valued at £25 per week. If you fail to leave the permit behind on the day of departure you agree to send payment of £25 for the purchase of a replacement permit for the following guests.

10.We make every effort to ensure that the information and cottage description on our website and adverts is as accurate as possible and given in good faith. However, circumstances may result in changes around and within the cottage, and we accept no liability for minor inaccuracies.

11.You shall prevent any member of his party from causing a nuisance or disturbance to neighbouring residents.

12.In the event of there being any cause for complaint concerning the cottage, the matter must be taken up with the Manager while you are still staying in the cottage so that we can look into the problem if necessary and take any remedial action to correct the problem. Complaints raised after the tenancy has ended cannot be considered.

13.If for any reason beyond the Owner's control the property is not available for the date of the holiday booked, such as fire or flood, all rentals paid by you will be refunded in full. There shall be no further claim possible against the owner.

14.   Agent cannot be held responsible for the failing of any service company error or service interruption (i.e, electricity, TV, internet, etc). However, Agents agree to do all that is humanly possible to resolve any situation as quickly as possible. Agent cannot be held responsible for acts of neighbors or other parties, such as construction, road repair and maintenance.

15.We do not accept responsibility for injury to persons or loss/damage to possessions unless caused by proven negligent act or omission of the owner, employees, or agents of the same, whilst acting in the course of their employment. This includes loss or damage to your vehicle and contents, and to your personal possessions.
